When I started collecting vintage Xmas decorations I fell in love with the Shiny Brite ones from the 40s, 50s and 60s. They were a classic American company and their branding was fabulous. Sadly the original company closed in the 1960s when plastic baubles became the fashion. In 2001 they were re-released and although now made in China they have been faithfully copied.

I have a bit of a thing about the vintage glass garlands that were all the rage back in the day. This version is 7 feet/2.1metres long, alternating tinsel and glass beads, and is packed in a replica box. I’m so happy to have these after years of trying to get them shipped to Australia, I have some up in the studio that I’ve been hoarding….
