Just Add Moonshine: Sanctuary (Sloe and Pear) Cordial
These amazing preserves are made in the north of Tasmania by Kate Smith Just Add Moonshine (JAM) from roadside fruit, excess produce from farms and the bounty of friends gardens. Kate is a writer and the names for her products are evocative and sometimes tongue in cheek. Her creativity spills over into the combination of tastes she magically combines, inspired by her walks with her familiar Mr Kipper.
Kate’s cordials are amazing! Some ‘artisan’ cordials I’ve tried taste like watered down jam but not Kate’s! Small batch and grab’em quick! Titania, queen of quince cordials! Made from quinces sourced from Riverview at Evandale and spiced up with cinnamon and peppercorns. Mix her with sparkling water and perhaps a dash of vodka or even white wine.
Ingredients: sloes from Strelleyfield Farm, beurre bosc pears from Evandale, water, sugar, citric acid and peppercorns
