Yak fibre: A cow native to Tibet, all colours of the fibres used are natural and work well blended with cotton. Yak hair, which has excellent thermal insulation and moisture absorption, has the comfort of not being sweaty to wear but is still insulating. You can wear it all year round even outside the autumn and winter season. It is also characterised by a ‘moist’ feel, does not feel scratchy like wool and works well blended with cotton.
Organic cotton: The organic cotton used by Yahoo is third-party certified organic cotton from the United States, India, Uganda, and Turkey. Cotton has a unique air layer structure and has excellent thermal insulation and moisture absorption qualities. Brown and green are natural colors with brown cotton and green cotton as they are. This is a sustainable coloured cotton that was completed by Sally Fox of the United States after painstaking work.
Alpaca: Because the centre of the fibre is hollow it provides thermal insulation, and surprisingly warm. Because of the smoothness of the alpaca fibre it also doesn’t tend to pill. Alpaca fleece normally comes in natural colours of black, browns and cream but there has been a decrease in colours available due to the preference of producing cream for dyeing. Yahae uses only natural coloured alpaca fleeces in black and brown in their socks.
