A new addition to our Japanese hot water bottle range! This time in a gunmetal grey plated steel with a soft and fluffy brown cover and comes in a box with great graphics making it a perfect present. This version is almost the same as the original one we’ve stocked for the last couple of years but is a little thinner in profile, making it perfect for camping…. but most definitely for keeping warm at home!

We’ve been wanting to stock these ‘yutanpo’ hot water bottles for ages and we’ve finally got our cold fingers on them. Here’s all the guff about this great product:

The ‘yutanpo’ hot water bottle is a perfect blend of old tradition and new technology, a heating device that has been a part of Japanese culture since the Genroku era (1688-1704). This hot water bottle is designed to provide a warm and gentle heat to the body without drying out the skin. It features a flat bottom for stability and easy pouring, making it user-friendly. The internal support brace resists dents, ensuring the durability of the product. With a capacity of 2.5 liters, it can hold a substantial amount of hot water for prolonged warmth. It can also be filled with ice cold water for cooling in summer.

The body of the hot water bottle is made from hot-dip galvanized steel plate, ensuring its durability and heat retention. The cap is made of brass, and the seal is made of synthetic rubber. The product is approximately 29cm x 22cm x 8cm, and made from plated steel. The hot water bottle has a capacity of approximately 2.4L. This product is proudly made in Japan.

The ‘yutanpo’ hot water bottle can be heated with an induction heater, gas stove or electric hot plate making it easy and convenient to use. The flat and stable bottom design makes it easy to pour hot water into the bottle. The corrugated surface of the hot water bottle is designed to increase the heating area by increasing the surface area as much as possible, providing efficient and even heat distribution. The internal "pillar" prevents the bottle from being dented when the temperature drops, maintaining the shape and durability of the bottle.

It comes with a spare seal for the brass ring and a washable soft and fluffy drawstring cover.

WARNING! Please remember this item is metal and filled with hot water. It will be very hot! Always make sure it is handled with a towel or oven mitts when filling and inserting into the cover. The water does not have to be at boiling point and please be careful, just as you would with the rubber hot water bottle. If heating on a hot plate make sure the cap is off and the pouring hole is open, carefully remove from heat and place on a flat surface to screw the cap closed.
